THE HISTORY OF CLUB LONDON Hello everyone and thank you for all your ongoing support. My name isi Tom aka "Tomcat" and this is how Club London came to be. In the year 2000, I was hosting a variety of events in different locations. For the sake of keeping this story short I basically hosted an event with a "The Probe Private Night Club." At this time the event was known as the Black Party, and everyone attending had to wear BLACK ATTIRE. This event was being hosted at same time with an event called "CLUB LONDON." The story goes like this, after doing a one successful event i was offered to hosted EVERY FRIDAY at the Probe, but after all my promotions, all my time, and all my money spend the Club was sold and I was unable to stay there so I was givin the name by the manager to keep it going. Later on i found out that DJ Noah had coined the name "Club London" which was given to me by management at that time to try to salvage my investment and this is the Story on how Club London came to light. Most people think that Club London began at Vertigo's Bar and Grill but in actuallity Vertigos had been the 3rd Location. The 1st location was the Probe in Hollywood but after losing that location I was in a rush in re-locating the club and so I quickly moved nights to a Sunday at new location far from Hollywood in Huntington Park called LEONARDO'S NIGHT CLUB. BIG MISTAKE, I was too far from the original location and this club was not freeway friendly and Sunday Night was a different animal compared to a Friday night. i only lasted 2 months at Leonardo's Night Club, but I had a core of 50 people were comitted to my vision and so I continued to push foward with Club London and we moved to VERTIGOS. After 5 years Club London needed a change and so we landed at a beautiful Gothic style club know as "Boardner's B-52 Night Club" We occupied and rocked the venue for 2 years and then it was time for another move. In 2007 we landed at a small venue in Chinatown called "ROBERTOS" we only lasted less than a year here and we were on the move again but now we only had the club once a month at different venues, like Charlie O's, Boardners, Vertigos,, Senor Fish, and Fais Do-Do. Now "VERTIGOS" has asked us back and by POPULAR DEMAND we are BACK!!! BIGGER, BOLDER, BETTER. I have recruited some of L.A.'s top 80's, indie, electro, spanish rock, Brit-Pop, SynthPop, Darkwave, New Wave promoters to insure a successfull Night. Club London caters to wide variety of music, for the most part Club London has always played 80's New wave, Darkwave, Synthpop, in the main room. While the 2nd room has always catered to everything like Indie, Electro, Spanish Rock, Mash-Ups, Disco, Brit-Pop, Soul, Ska, Rockabilly and at times some hip hop. But our common goal has always been the love of the 80's alternative music. Some great clubs, events and promoters have came out of Club London and it means a lot to alot of people that we stay open and keep the Club London scene alive.Hope to see at our Nights. Thanks for allyour ongoing support Tom Cat
